BROOKINGS — The Mission of the Month at Mission Coffeehouse at First Lutheran Church for June is Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare.
The mission of KBPA is to lower recidivism (the return rate of inmates that return to prison). Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare fosters Christian character one person at a time. Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare forms healthy relationships between Christian mentors and former offenders.
This is done regardless of the former offender’s past indiscretions.The goal is to help former offenders safely re-enter society and rebuild family units. Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare will come alongside and help them discern God’s love, will and direction for their life.
At the same time, KBPA will make available practical assistance to help them become productive and independent citizens. Kingdom Boundaries Prison Aftercare relies on contributions from individuals and groups. It is recognized as a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.
