BROOKINGS — Graduation season is a special time of the year when we celebrate the accomplishments of our high school students and wish them well as they open new chapters in their lives.
Brookings High School
Brookings High School graduation will be 2 p.m. on May 17 at the Dacotah Bank Center. The class colors are Bobcat red and black. The class motto is from a Noah Kahn song, “Pack up your car, put a hand on your heart, Say whatever you feel, be wherever you are…
You’re gonna go far…”
Arlington High School
Arlington High school graduation will be 2 p.m. May 16 in the Arlington High School main gym.
ORR
Oldham-Ramona Rutland graduation will be 2 p.m. May 16 in the Ramona Gym.
Sioux Valley
Sioux Valley’s baccalaureate was Wednesday at the performing arts center. Graduation will be at 2 p.m. at the Cossack Center. The class colors are pink and yellow. The class flower is lilies and the class motto is from the Ferris Bueller movie: “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop once in a while and take a look around, you could miss it.”
Deubrook
Deubrook’s graduation will be 1 p.m. May 17 in Kevin Keenhagen Gym in White. The class flower is the red rose. Class colors are burgundy and gold. The class motto is, “Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.” The salutatorian is Raymond Klein and the valedictorian is Kiana Schmit.
Colman-Egan
The Colman-Egan graduations was May 9.
Elkton-Lake Benton
Elkton-Lake Benton’s graduation will be 2 p.m. May 16 at the school. The salutatorian is Jocelyn Presch, The valedictorians are Peyton Keuhl and Lane Schindler. The class colors are black and gold and the class flower is a carnation.
