FLANDREAU Flandreau pulled away in the second half as they defeated McCook Central/Montrose 52-27 on Thursday night.
The Fliers took a 10-8 lead at the end of the first quarter and jumped ahead 24-16 at halftime. Flandreau broke the game in the second half, leading 35-20 at the end of the third quarter and out-scoring MCM 17-7 in the fourth quarter.
Paul Parsley led the Fliers with 15 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two steals. Luke Sheppard had 11 points, nine rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks. Kody Kneebone had six points and four rebounds.
Xavier Bien had five points, two rebounds, an assist and two steals while Alfie Henderson had five points, one rebound and two steals. Kaden Burshiem had four points, one rebound and one assist in the win.
Owen Alley led MCM with 10 points, three rebounds, an assist, a steal and a block. Ty Morrison had seven points, three rebounds, an assist and a steal. Lane Dentsch had five points, two rebounds and one assist and Ben Wiebersick had four points and four rebounds.
The Fliers improved to 4-2 on the season and will host Madison on Jan. 11.
