BROOKINGS — Hundreds of Brookings High School juniors and seniors celebrated prom — with its “Here We Go Again” theme — on April 25 at the Dacotah Bank Center, with the post-prom party at the SDSU Wellness Center.
After a well-attended Grand March that drew parents and community members alike, students were hypnotized and then danced the night right into post-prom. Activities included swimming, a blow-up obstacle courses, bean bags, bouncy-ball bingo and a rock-climbing wall.
Partners for this year’s prom were the DBC, Sunstar Events, Hitch and the Dance Machine. The involvement of entities such as Best Choice Real Estate, the city of Brookings, Austreim Landscaping, Clites Electric and BankStar made it so all prom-goers were able to attend at no cost.
In closing, the prom committee also extended its “heartfelt thanks” to BHS Principal Zach Thomas; BHS Assistant Principal Phil Thramer; BHS Activities Director Jeff “JD” Dvorak; and BHS Prom Adviser Kelsey Lovseth.
