Carson Noecker earns peak performer award

SIOUX FALLS South Dakota States Carson Noecker has earned cross country Peak Performer of the Week accolades, announced by the Summit League on Tuesday afternoon.

Noecker is honored with the award for the second-consecutive eligible week. The sophomore was last awarded Peak Performer of the Week on Sept. 24, following a top-10 finish at the Roy Griak Invitational.

Noecker takes the PPOTW award after he won the Jay Dirksen Mens 8K, 21 seconds ahead of the second-place finisher at the SDSU Classic this past Friday. The sophomores time of 24:11.28 set a new Edgebrook course record, besting the record he had previously set at the Summit League Championships last year when he won the conference meet with a time of 24:17.2.

The team splits in two as the Jacks attend the Wisconsin Pre Nationals, hosted by the University of Wisconsin, and the Jim Drews Invitational, hosted by the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse on Oct. 19.
