BROOKINGS – The Post 74 Bandits Legion baseball team split a doubleheader with Post 15 West 18U on Wednesday, winning the opener, 9-0, while falling in the second game, 9-2.
Nolan Krogman pitched a complete-game shutout and the Bandits scored seven runs in the fifth inning of the first game.
Ben Schulte hit a two-run double and Jase Bauer a two-run single in the big fifth inning. Talon Hyde and Nolan Wagner added RBI singles.
Krogman and Bauer each posted a single and double in the second game, with Bauer driving in both runs for Post 74. Noah Lease took the loss.
Post 15 rallied from a 2-0 deficit, scoring four in the fourth inning, two in the sixth and three in the seventh.
The Post 74 Bandits are 3-1 on the season
