The cast and crew of Chemical Imbalance: A Jekyll and Hyde Playreceived a superior play award at the South Dakota State One-Act Play Festival on Feb. 8.
This award marked the second superior accolade in the past three years for directors Laura Hummel and Julie Bergan Abraham since taking over direction of the one-act play program in 2021.
In addition, seven members of the cast won outstanding acting awards: Seija Saunders, Makhia Wilson, Lexey Thompson, Asher Bucholz, Poppy McElroy, Jamison Gundvaldson and Ava Hilmoe.
Finally, Mads McCullough won a superior rating for her entry in the costume design category of the technical theatre competition.
