BERESFORD The Flandreau basketball teams swept a doubleheader against Beresford on Thursday night. The Fliers girls team beat the Watchdogs 59-39 and the boys won 70-36.
Girls
Flandreau 59, Beresford 39
Hannah Krull led the Fliers with 24 points. Sadie Iott and Morgan Sheppard each had eight points.
The Watchdogs were led by Ella Merriman who had 30 points.
Flandreau improved to 2-1 and plays Dell Rapids St. Mary in the Entringer Classic in Colman on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
Boys
Flandreau 70, Beresford 36
Xavier Bien led the Fliers with 12 points. Micah Otto and Luke Sheppard each had 10 points.
Beresford was led by Malachi James who had 10 points. Aidan Hamm had nine points and Ashton Oberle had eight points.
Flandreau is now 2-1 and plays Dell Rapids St. Mary in the Entringer Classic in Brookings on Dec. 28 at 5 p.m.
