BROOKINGS Brookings Public Library, along with co-sponsors from the Brookings Human Rights Commission, SDSU Office of Multicultural Affairs and Accessibility, SDSU School of Communication and Journalism, and Friends of the Brookings Public Library, is hosting a community conversations series, where small groups led by trained facilitators will meet over 5 weeks throughout Sept. and Oct. to have conversations across differences and explore challenging topics affecting them and their community.
There will be an information session on Thursday, September 12th at 6 p.m. where those who are interested in participating can learn what to expect from the program, hear keynote speaker Christy Heacock discuss civil discourse, and have an opportunity to register to be in a conversation group. Please email Mikaela Neubauer at [email protected] with any further questions.
If you require assistance, alternative formats, and/or accessible locations consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act, please contact the City ADA Coordinator at (605) 692-6281 at least 3 working days prior to any meeting held at the Library.
