The Flandreau Fliers and Deubrook Area Dolphins picked up wins in Tuesday nights area basketball action.
Flandreau 59, Hamlin 39
HAMLIN Claire Sheppard scored 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Lizzie Pavlis scored 13 points with 15 rebounds, five assists and five steals to help the Fliers defeat the Hamlin Chargers.
Lily Klein also added 11 points with three steals in the win.
Addison Neuendorf scored a team-high 22 points for the Chargers.
The Fliers are now 2-0 on the season and will host Beresford on Thursday night.
Deubrook Area 61, Deuel 31
WHITE The Dolphins used a fast start to pick up a win over the Deuel Cardinals. Deubrook Area dominated early, using a 22-3 first-quarter advantage to help go into halftime with a 36-14 lead.
Deubrook led 44-21 at the end of the third quarter before out-scoring the Cardinals 17-10 in the fourth quarter.
Kadence Bowne led Deubrook with 14 points on the night while Kyarra Blum had 10 points. Matte Bauman had eight points while Delaney Pedersen had seven points Mataya Gouws had six points.
Josie Anderson and Jaycee Hourigan led the Cardinals with 12 points each.
The Dolphins are now 2-1 on the season and will host Oldham-Ramona/Rutland on Thursday night.
