BROOKINGS – The Brookings Bombers Maroon 13U team went 0-5 in the Cubby’s Classic over the weekend.

HARRISBURG – The Brookings American Legion Post 74 Bandits finished pool play 2-2 at the Dakota Premier Classic held across multiple sites in the Sioux Falls metro and surrounding cities.

MINNETONKA, Minn. – The Brookings Junior American Legion Post 74 squad finished 0-5 in tournament games held in Minnetonka, Minn. as part of the Melde Meltdown.

SIOUX FALLS – The Brookings Bullets 16U team went 0-4 in a tournament in Sioux Falls over the weekend.

Flandreau American Legion Post 70 split a Thursday doubleheader against Castlewood Post 250, then finished 1-2 in a weekend tournament in Pierce, Nebraska.

The Flandreau Cardinals split two amateur baseball games on Thursday and Sunday, dropping an 8-1 contest at Hartford-Humboldt, then defeating Mt. Vernon 4-3 in the Sunshine/Cornbelt Showdown on Sunday.

ABERDEEN – The Brookings Bobcats’ skeet team took third at the 2022 South Dakota Clay Target League state tournament held in Aberdeen June 10-12.

SIOUX FALLS – For the second year in a row and seventh time in program history, South Dakota State has claimed the Summit League Commissioner’s Cup.

MINNETONKA, Minn. – The Brooking Junior Legion Chutes fell 13-5 to the Fargo Astros in their first game of the Melde Meltdown Tournament on Thursday.

BROOKINGS – The Brookings Post 74 Bandits, Brookings’ senior legion team, split a doubleheader in two high-scoring games with Harrisburg on Tuesday night. Harrisburg won game one, 15-12, and Brookings took game two, 9-7.

The South Dakota State women’s basketball team announced it will be playing in the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament next season.

RENNER – The Brooking Cubs dropped their second game of the season on Tuesday when they fell to Renner 15-5 in seven innings.

HURON – A few tough innings in the field led the Brookings Bombers 13U Maroon team to get swept in a doubleheader against Huron on Tuesday night. Brookings lost the first game, 18-8, and the second game, 14-5.

Idaho football announced on Tuesday that former South Dakota State quarterback, J’Bore Gibbs, is now a member of the team.
