Three Bobcat baseball players make all-region team

BROOKINGS — Three Brookings High School baseball team players were named to the 2026 Class A All-Region team.

They are Jace Bauer, who played catcher, third base and first baee; Cooper Schneider, who play second base and shortstop and Baker Hanson who was shortstop and a pitcher.

Bauer, a senior, had a .225 batting average with eight doubles and 25 RBI. He scored 14 runs and had six stolen bases on the year.

Sophomore Hanson hit 389 this season. He has 28 hits with two doubles and a triple.He scored 28 runs, 14 RBI and had 12 stolen bases. On the mound, he pitched 14.1 innings with a 2-1 record. He posted a 4.88 ERA with 19 strikeouts.

Schneider, a junior hit .375 with 28 hits, two doubles and one triple. He knocked in 10 runs and had 20 runs score. He had 10 stolen base on the year.
