BROOKINGS — A man from Iowa is in jail facing three misdemeanor charges following his alleged involvement in a May 9 domestic disturbance incident in Brookings at 520 Medary Ave.
Brookings Police Chief Michael Drake told The Brookings Register on May 11 that Andre B. Enge, 33, of Spencer is facing the following charges:
• Simple assault domestic
• Obstructing a law w enforcement officer
• Resisting arrest
Under South Dakota law, Class 1 misdemeanors are punishable by up to one year in the county jail and/or a $2,000 fine.
Enge remained at the Brookings County Detention Center as of 1 p.m. May 11 awaiting further court proceedings.
