BROOKINGS — Easter egg hunts and sightings of the Easter Bunny were commonplace in and around Brookings this week, including this one at Pizza Ranch on March 31 that drew the interest of dozens of youngsters.
Easter Sunday falls on April 5, and Christians around the world will gather to celebrate the most significant date on the liturgical calendar. The day marks the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, signifying a victory over death and the fulfillment of the central promise of the faith.
