CLEAR LAKE The Brookings-Deuel Rural Water System will be holding its 52nd annual meeting of members on April 8 at the community center in Clear Lake. A pork loin supper for members will be served starting at 6:30 p.m., with the business meeting starting at 7:15 p.m.
Petitions for directors were taken out by Dan Davis for District 2 and Troy Lenning for District 3.
The usual business reports to the membership will be given, followed by door prize drawings and the $100 leak finders reward will be drawn also. Four $500 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors whose parents are members of the system.
Brookings-Deuel Rural Water System serves eastern Brookings and Deuel counties, providing safe drinking water to over 2,800 locations. Thirteen area communities are also served by the rural water system, bringing the total population served to over 9,300 people.
