When Kelsey told me she was running for the Brookings School Board, I was excited because I have encouraged her to get involved for quite some time. I have known Kelsey for over 15 years and find her to be a dedicated, compassionate, hardworking, trustworthy individual. Whatever she decides to do, she puts 110% of her energy into.
I first came to know Kelsey when she was hired by the Brookings School District as our assistant business manager. During the time she was employed with the district, she did an exemplary job. She is truly a self-starter, sees what needs to be done and pursues the best path to ensure success.
Since leaving the school district, she has started a small business that has become very successful to a point where she has recently taken on a new partner, all while being a stay-at-home mom. She has always prided herself on being mom first and will continue to keep kids at the forefront of her priorities.
Ive always found Kelsey to be sincere, child and family centered, and someone who will always do whats best for ALL. Having a son in kindergarten, she has a vested interest in the success of our schools, she is a good listener and will be a good steward of our tax dollars.
My wife Diane and I not only support Kelsey professionally, but also personally. Over the years, we have become close family friends and fully support her in this endeavor. She has a good heart and will do whats best for all kids.
