Twenty-three area football players were honored by the South Dakota Football Coaches Association on Tuesday on the All-State teams.
Sioux Valley led the way with seven players honored in Class 11B. Brookings had five players honored in Class 11AA. Elkton-Lake Benton had five players honored in 9AA and Estelline/Hendricks had three players honored in 9A. Colman-Egan had two players in 9B and Flandreau had one player in 9A.
Class 11AA
Brookings
Gabriel Stern Senior Linebacker
Stern had 103 total tackles in 2024. He made plates all over the field with two tackles for a loss, three forced fumbles, two interceptions and one fumble recovery. He scored two defensive touchdowns as well.
Andrew Hahn Senior Left Guard
Was a three-year starter at left guard. Helped the Bobcats gain almost 2,500 yards in 2024.
Charlie Bisgard Senior Defensive Back
Bisgard had 45 tackles in 2024. He had four interceptions, a forced fumble and one defensive touchdown. For his career he had 128 total tackles, eight interceptions, three tackles for a loss, one sack, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Bergan Tetzlaff Junior Linebacker
Tetzlaff had 128 total tackles for the Bobcats. He also had seven tackles for a loss, two sacks and one fumble recovery.
Will Conrad Senior Running Back
Conrad was an honorable mention. He ran for 679 yards and five touchdowns on 142 carries. For his career he had 960 total yards and nine total touchdowns.
Class 11B
Sioux Valley
Donovan Rose Senior Running Back
Ran for 1,675 yards and 17 touchdowns on 149 carries, which equaled out to 11.3 yards per carry. He is the Sioux Valley all-time leading rusher and scorer with 3,453 yards and 53 total touchdowns.
Brock Christopherson Senior Linebacker
Christopherson had 60 tackles for the Cossacks in 2024. He also had one sack, one safety, one interception and four fumble recoveries.
Jakob Guthmiller Senior Defensive Back
Guthmiller had a strong senior season for the Cossacks with 46 tackles, three tackles for a loss and one sack.
Jameson Degen Senior Kicker
Made three field goals with a long of 36 yards. He was also 53 of 54 on extra points. For his career he made 105 extra points.
Luke Lembcke Senior Offensive Lineman
Led the Cossack offensive line that powered the Sioux Valley offense to 395 yards per game.
Tobin Squires Junior Tight End/Fullback/H-Back
Squires was a key blocker for a Sioux Valley offense that had 4,339 total yards. He had four catches for 77 yards and a touchdown.
Preston Top Junior Defensive Lineman
Top had 36 tackles, seven tackles for a loss and one sack in 2024.
Flandreau
Paul Parsley Senior Defensive Back
Had 32 solo tackles for the Fliers in 2024 and 16 assisted tackles. He also had three tackles for a loss, one interception and five passes defended.
Class 9AA
Elkton-Lake Benton
Blake De Vries Senior Running Back
De Vries played in five and a half games as he was injured. He ran for 511 yards and six touchdowns on 66 carries (92.6 yards per carry). For his career he ran for 1,493 yards and 22 touchdowns.
Tanner Stein Senior Wide Receiver
Stein led the Elks with 603 yards and seven touchdowns on 31 catches. He also ran for 743 yards and 14 touchdowns on 59 carries (12.59 yards per rush). In his career he had 2,785 total yards and 39 touchdowns.
Taiton Boersma Senior Offensive Lineman
Helped the Elks run for 3,165 yards and in total ELB had 4,751 yards in 68 touchdowns in 2024.
Quintin Westley Senior Defensive Lineman
Westley had 40 total tackles for the Elks in 2024. 12 of those tackles went for a loss and he had 6.5 sacks, one fumble recovery and 15 quarterback hurries.
Colt Beck Junior Athlete
Beck was the quarterback for the Elks and passed for 1,468 yards, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions, while completing 59% of his passes. He ran for 936 yards, 19 touchdowns and scored 118 points in 2024.
Class 9A
Estelline/Hendricks
Wyat James Senior Athlete
James played both wide receiver and defensive back for the Redhawks in 2024. He had 30 catches for 422 yards and three touchdowns. On defense he had 64 tackles and three interceptions. For his career he had 809 receiving yards and eight total touchdowns offensively. He also had two return touchdowns on special teams. He had 168 tackles, 12 interceptions, one of which went for a touchdown, and four fumble recoveries.
Carson Reitz Senior Defensive Lineman
Reitz had 81 tackles and 31 of them were solo. For his career he had 137 tackles and six sacks.
Matthew McAninch Senior Linebacker/Fullback
McAninch was an honorable mention in Class 9A. No stats were provided for him.
Class 9B

Jackson Zwart Wide Receiver
Zwart had 29 catches for 479 yards for the Hawks in 2024.
Jase Mousel Senior Cornerback/Linebacker
Jase was an honorable mention in Class 9B. He had 65 tackles, three sacks, three interceptions and one fumble recovery in 2024.
