Do you read online reviews of products before you buy them?
The Brookings Register on Oct. 10, under the heading Have You Heard? and with the headline Film on Christian nationalism set for screening, advertised the film Bad Faith: Christian Nationalisms Unholy War On American Democracy.
Theres no byline in the article so we dont know who wrote it, if its written as supposed factual information, or if its a mixture of facts and opinion.
The writer of the article appears to be in total agreement with the assertions of the film. I looked at some online reviews.
Here are reviews I found on Amazon from five different customers who have an opposing view of the premise of the film.
- This is nothing but liberal propaganda geared at those of faith and those with values and principles. The irony of the title isnt missed since this entire documentary is the epitome of bad faith. … If you are not familiar with the content please do some research before you buy into this nonsense.
- Bad Faith is a prime example of hate-filled, divisive propaganda masquerading as a documentary. The film attempts to rewrite history and vilify entire groups by pushing a biased narrative that lacks balance and context.
- This docu-fiction falsely tries to associate Republicans once again to white supremacy. Full of lies using clips that have no basis for the false premise they are desperately spewing.
- The documentary operates on the premise that progressive Christianity is the true gospel and exchanges scripture for social justice.
- It was a very one-sided presentation, since it did not allow for rebuttal by the other side.
The Register article didnt utilize full disclosure, but I will: Im a Christian, saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and I recommend the advice stated in Proverbs 18:17: The first to state his case seems right until another comes and cross-examines him.
