Beau Thomas Bielfeldt, infant son of Daniel and Megan (Eide) Bielfeldt, was born with his twin sister, Gabrielle Magdalena, on Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Avera McKennan Hospital. Beau gifted his family with nearly ten hours of snuggles before he died peacefully in his Daddys arms on the night of May 14.
It was discovered in utero that Beau Thomas (Beautiful Twin) was affected by a severe form of skeletal dysplasia called Osteogenesis Imperfecta or Brittle Bone Disease. Despite the odds against him, Beau remained strong as he grew in his own beautiful way alongside his twin sister, Gabrielle. Beau and Gabrielle were baptized together by the Avera McKennan Chaplains in the presence of family and medical staff.
Beau is survived by his parents Daniel and Megan; big sisters: Charlotte, Vivienne, Josephine and Gabrielle; grandparents: Larry and Laurie Eide, Linda Adams and Ron Carlson, Dennis and Susanne Bielfeldt, Darla Biel and Marc Serrett; aunts and uncles: Alison (Brian) Kringstad, Ashley (Zach) Pawlowski, Leah Brink (Josh Anderegg), Anna (Joe) Maruska, John, Paul and Luke Bielfeldt; and many cousins, family and dear friends.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 3, at 10:30 a.m, with lunch to follow at Ascension Lutheran Church in Brookings, SD. Eidsness Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
