HAYTI The Elkton-Lake Benton boys and Sioux Valley girls won the Hamlin Last Chance Track & Field Meet on Monday afternoon.
Flandreau, Estelline/Hendricks and Iroquois/Lake Preston also competed in the meet.
Boys
Elkton-Lake Benton
The Elks had 137 points as a team.
Nate Timm came in first place in the 1600 meter run for the Elks as he finished the race in 4:50.16. Blake DeVries came in second in the 110 meter hurdles (16.12) and the 300 meter hurdles (40.06). Quinten Poindexter came in third in the 100 meter dash (11.57) and Riddick Westley came in fourth in the 100 (11.68). Joseph Nibbe came in fourth in the 110 meter hurdles (17.95) and fifth in the 800 meter run (2:15.03). Tanner Stein came in fourth in the 400 meter run (52.57).
The team of Westley, Colt Beck, DeVries and Poindexter came in third in the 4×100 relay (44.90). Drietz came in first in the triple jump with a jump of 39 feet and 7.25 inches. Beck came in second in the triple jump (38-5.50). Poindexter came in third (19-8.50) and Drietz came in fourth (19-3.75). Taiton Boersma came in fourth in the shot put (45-7.25) and fifth in the discus (128-6.50). Poindexter came in fifth in the high jump (5-8).
Flandreau
The Fliers came in fifth with 62 points. They had two top five finishers in the individual running races as Sam Schmidt came in fourth in the 3200 meter run (11:39.75) and Kenton James came in fifth (11:51.33) in the same event.
Flandreau won two relay races. The team of Paul Parsley, Benjamin Klum, Micah Otto and Brenton Westberry won the 4×400 relay (3:32.40). Tanner Reed, Schmidt, Kenton James and Westberry came in first in the 4×800 relay (8:54.90).
Micah Otto won the high jump with a jump of five feet and 11 inches. Tucker Hemmer came in third in the triple jump (37-2.75).
Sioux Valley
The Cossacks finished in sixth with 56 points. Brady Hiltunen was the lone top five finisher in the individual running events as he came in third in the 800 meter run (2:06.64).
The team of Donovan Rose, Carson Wosje, Mitchell Guthmiller and Brock Christopherson came in first in the sprint medley relay (3:42.60). Rose, Jakob Guthmiller, Mitchell Guthmiller and Wosje came in second in the 4×200 relay (1:34.41).
Braden Danzeisen came in second in the long jump (19-9). Wyatt Nelson came in third in the javelin (125-5) and Jakob Guthmiller came in fourth (125-4). Brody Haaland came in fourth in the triple jump (37-1.50).
Estelline/Hendricks
The Redhawks had 36 points and came in ninth. Cooper Schaefer came in second in the 1600 meter run (4:55.77) and Kyler Marson came in second in the 3200 meter run (11:17.48). Schaefer also came in fourth in the 800 meter run (2:14.95).
Iroquois/Lake Preston
The Sharks came in 13th place with 13.5 points. Their only top five finish was Rexton Blue in the discus and he came in third (131-10).
Girls
Sioux Valley
The Cossacks had 90.5 points. Talya Vincent won the 1600 meter run (5:27.98) and Adison Renkly won the 100 meter hurdles (15.81). Liberty Trygstad came in second in the 1600 meter run (5:46.60) and Vincent came in second in the 800 meter run (2:29.91). Maci Licht came in fourth in the 800 meter run (2:33.76). The team of Renkly, Abby Haaland, Caitlin Russell and Audrey Larsen came in third in the 4×100 relay (53.66).
Summer Guthmiller won the discus (113-7.25) and Emma Gorvin won the high jump (4-10). Savana Guthmiller came in fifth in the discus.
Estelline/Hendricks
The Redhawks came in sixth with 56 points. Sadie Johnson won the 300 meter hurdles (47.26). The team of Emma Pierce, Kori Saathoff, Maggie Hausman and Johnson came in third in the 4×200 relay (1:54.30). Johnson came in second in the long jump (16-6) and the triple jump (32-1). Emma Gilbertson came in third in the javelin (88-10).
Flandreau
The Fliers finished in seventh with 52.5 points. Faith Wiese won the 3200 meter run (11:07.43). Kiley Westberry came in third in the 400 meter run (1:03.13) and Josie Hamilton came in third in the 3200 meter run (12:12.42). Ella Hoffman came in fifth in the 100 meter dash (13.66). Lily Klein came in fifth in the shot put (32-0).
Iroquois/Lake Preston
The Sharks came in eighth with 51 points. Adison Moore came in first in both the 100 meter dash (12.63) and the 400 meter run (1:00.87). She also came in second in the 200 meter dash (26.59). Hadlee Holt came in first in the shot put (38-1.25) and second in the discus (112-8).
Elkton-Lake Benton
The Elks finished in ninth with 50 points. Ivy Jaacks came in second in the 300 meter hurdles (50.58) and Sydney DeVries came in third (50.66) in the same event. Malayna Hemmen finished in fourth in the 1600 meter run (6:08.45). Kylie Ramlo came in third in the triple jump (31-6.50) and Malyha Slegers came in fifth triple jump (29.8.50).
