Washington Pavilion introduces ‘Cosmos and Cocktails’ event on Jan. 25

SIOUX FALLS The Washington Pavilion will introduce a new programming experience, offering adults (21+) the opportunity to explore the Kirby Science Discovery Center, Visual Arts Center and Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium without the kiddos. “Cosmos and Cocktails” will take place on Jan. 25 from 6to 8 p.m.

We have been eager to introduce a unique experience like this for adults only, especially since the opening of our planetarium, says Madelyn Grogan, director of programming, education and exhibits for Washington Pavilion Management Inc.

This evening will include:

  • Unlimited access to the Kirby Science Discovery Center and Visual Arts Center
  • Specialty cocktails, wine and beer available for purchase
  • A special tour of the Visual Arts Center with the lead curator at 7 p.m.
  • Gourmet ice cream, fresh popcorn, candy and cold beverages at Parlour House
  • An exclusive 25-minute guided tour of Winter Skies in the Wells Fargo CineDome & Sweetman Planetarium featuring constellations, stars and deep-space objects of the northern hemisphere. Shows begin at 6:30 and 7:30 p.m.
