A celebration of life for Patrick A. Lyons, former South Dakota State University Economics professor and campus advisor to numerous student groups, will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15, in the Oscar Larson Performing Arts Center on SDSU’s campus. Remarks will be made at 2 p.m.

Judith Ann (Carr) Danielsen, 83, passed away peacefully at Brookings Hospital on Nov. 29, 2023.

Kyle Rott, 36, passed away as the result of an ice climbing accident on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, in Bozeman, MT.

William H. Everding Jr., 68, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at the Brookings Health System hospital surrounded by his family.

Curtis Bruce Lee, age 68, of Brookings, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2023, at the Brookings Hospital.

Raymond Kurtz, 93, of Brookings, SD (currently residing in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa), passed away on Nov. 23, 2023, at the Pioneer Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa.

Kathleen Dawn (Weeks) Fjellestad, age 78, passed away on Friday, Nov. 24, 2023, at Dougherty Hospice House.

Eileen Ruth (Bauer) Remmele, age 101 passed away on Nov. 21, 2023.

Janice Pickard, 75, of Dell Rapids, formerly Brookings, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2023, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.

Chris Edward Caugherty passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023, at Sanford Hospital after a brief battle with cancer. He was 74. Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings is helping the Caugherty family with arrangements.
