acefully on January 12, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones, in Tremonton, Utah. He was born on April 26, 1953, in Brookings, South Dakota to Arthur Roy Voss and Esther Leona Steinberg Voss.
Gary began a lifelong voyage of love and companionship on June 9, 1972, as he entered into matrimony with Shirley Ann Lee in Brookings, South Dakota.
Throughout his lifetime, Gary found immense joy in the exquisite landscapes and rich variety of South Dakota and Utah. The memories he created in these extraordinary locations held a special place in his heart.
He dedicated many years of loyal service to Nucor Cold Finish until his well-deserved retirement.
Gary derived comfort and happiness from a range of recreational activities during his free time. These included hunting, fishing, horseback riding, camping, and utilizing his adept hands for handyman tasks. Additionally, he was a member of the Lutheran Church.
Gary will be lovingly remembered by his devoted spouse Shirley Lee Voss; daughters Carey (Todd) Hunsaker and April (Bart) Nelson; son Adam Voss; sisters Jeanette (Leonard) Huffman, Sherrie (Steve) Hougland, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Gary was reunited in death with parents Arthur and Esther Voss, brothers Leroy and Douglas Voss, brother-in-law Leonard Huffman, grandson Corbett Garcia, and many other beloved family members.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11 a.m with a visitation held prior from 9:30-10:45 a.m. All services are scheduled to take place at Rudd Funeral Home-Tremonton, located at 111 N 100 E, Tremonton, Utah. Interment will take place at the Valley View Bothwell Cemetery. Following the interment, a lunch will be hosted at the Thatcher-Penrose Church, situated at 11475 W. 10400 N. Thatcher, UT.
