Bobcats finish in seventh at Pierre Invitational

PIERRE – The Brookings Bobcats finished in seventh place as they competed at the Pierre High School Invitational at the Hillsview Golf Course on Tuesday morning.

The Bobcats finished with a team score 92 strokes over par as they finished behind first-place Mitchell, who was 36 strokes over par. Aberdeen Central finished in second place at 49 strokes over par, Watertown finished third at 52 strokes over par, Rapid City Stevens finished fourth at 65 strokes over par and Sturgis finished fifth at 71 strokes over par.

Delilah Fuls was the top finisher for Brookings, sitting in third place with a score of 76 (+3). Fuls finished just behind Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink, who finished with a score of 70 (-1) and Maddie Childs, who scored a 72 (+1).

Miyah Foerster finished in 22nd place after shooting a 92 (+21) on Tuesday while Kamryn Streich finished 37th with a score of 101 (+30). Aubrey Knutson finished in 42nd place with a score of 107 (+36) and Tatum Thompson finished 45th with a score of 111 (+40).

Spearfish’s Alison Kennedy and Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun rounded out the top five individual scorers by scoring a round of 78 (+7).
The Bobcats will return to action on May 2 when they travel for an invitational in Huron.
