For the third consecutive season, South Dakota State’s Myah Selland is an Academic All-American.
The College Sports Communicators (Formerly CoSIDA) announced the 2022-23 Academic All-American women’s basketball teams Wednesday. Selland is one of five repeat selections for Division I and one of two student-athletes to make the list three times. All three of her honors have come as a member of the Academic All-America Second Team.
Selland holds an undergraduate GPA of 3.98 while pursuing degrees in community and public health and kinesiology. The 2023 Summit League Player of the Year leads SDSU in scoring with 15.7 points per game while contributing 6.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per contest. Selland is shooting 54 percent from the floor this year and 44 percent from the 3-point line.
Selland is the first Jackrabbit in program history to earn three Academic All-America awards.
Iowa’s Caitlin Clark was named the Division I Academic All-American Team Member of the Year.
