SIOUX FALLS – Carley (Roach) McMacken, a 2004 Brookings High School grad, is one of six former student athletes who will be inducted into the 2020 Augustana Athletics Hall of Fame Class on Sept. 18.
Joining McMacken, one of the Vikings’ best female golfers of all time at the school, are Kelly (Connolly) LaMotte (2000), Roman Evans (2000), Pat Graham (1998), Bruce Haroldson (1958) and Todd Kendle (1989).
Roach is the first Viking women’s golfer to earn induction into the Augustana Athletics Hall of Fame.
A four-time North Central Conference honoree, she was the NCC medalist in 2005 with rounds of 82-76-73—231. The following year, she won the 2006 NCAA Division II Regional Championship and was an honorable mention to the National Golf Coaches Association All-America teams in 2006 and 2008.
Carley is married to Billy McMacken, and they have two children (Camden, 7) and (Kendall, 4). Her parents are Gregg and Tammy Roach of Brookings.
