BROOKINGS – The Bobcats split their boys’ tennis triangular on Friday at Hillcrest, bouncing back from a 5-3 loss to Harrisburg with a 7-2 defeat of Milbank.
Brookings (4-9) hosts Sioux Falls Washington in a dual Tuesday at 4 p.m.
• Harrisburg 5, Brookings 3
The Bobcats swept the top two singles matches and also picked up a win in doubles.
Micah Ardry defeated Desmond Looft 6-1, 6-2 in No. 1 singles.
Dawson Peters posted a 6-2, 6-0 victory at No. 2, dropping Nick Anderson.
The Bobcat duo topped the Tiger squad 5-7, 6-4, 11-9 in the No. 1 doubles match.
• Brookings 7, Milbank 2
The Bobcats won four of the six singles matches and posted a sweep in doubles action.
Peters beat Benett Street 10-0 in the No. 2 singles match. Ardry and Peters topped Mason Riley and Leyton Raffety 10-3 at No. 1 doubles.
Derek Brallier cruised past Joe Schultz 10-2 at No. 3 singles.
Aditya (No. 5) and Braylon Peters (No. 6) posted 10-0 and 10-1 victories, respectively, in singles.
Brallier and Prasoon Kharel won 10-0 in No. 2 doubles, while Tummala and Braylon Peters picked up a 10-1 win at No. 3.
Riley topped Ardry 10-8 in No. 1 singles.
