Robert Tietjen of Brookings purchases Girl Scout cookies from Everly Redenius and Hope Johnson on Feb. 17 at Lewis Drug Store in Brookings. The cookies went on sale Feb. 9 in what is an annual event. Proceeds allow local Girl Scout troops to fund and participate in a number of activities, including STEM activities, outdoor adventures and community service projects.
