BROOKINGS Brookings Area Habitat for Humanity celebrated 30 years with an outstanding Nail the Runway show on March 15 at the Dacotah Bank Center.
Nail the Runway, sponsored by Brookings Home Team powered by C21 Krogman and Co., showcased 19 incredible designs. The Habitat for Humanity benefit welcomed new and seasoned designers this year, and there was no lack of enthusiasm from the crowd or models as they strutted their stuff on the runway. Nail the Runway proves to be a one-of-a-kind experience, highlighting a fashion show with designs created primarily of construction materials.
Winners this year include:
- Best Runway Presence: Queen of Hearts of Alice in Construction Land, designed by Amanda Rollins, modeled by Anneka Mikel
- Most Innovative Use of Construction Materials: Stained Glass Window, designed by Jill Kruse, modeled by Joscelyne Larson
- Most Wearable: Beautiful Reflections, designed by Morgan Kjellsen and Presley Rhody, modeled by Sheena and Veda Page
- People’s Choice: The Kentucky Derby Beauties, designed by Julia Schaar, modeled by Anastasia Schaar and Maddie McClemens
- Best of Show: Time Traveler, designed by Wendy Long, modeled by Brittany McGruder
