Mary Donohue, 96, of Brookings, SD passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at Brookings Health System.
Mass of Christian Burial has been set for 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 23,  at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Brookings, SD. Visitation will be held from 2 to 3:30 p.m. with a 3:30 p.m Liturgical Wake Service and Rosary to follow Sunday, May 22, at Rude’s Funeral Home, Brookings, SD.
Mary Catherine Donohue was born on April 4, 1926,  at Spring Green, WI, to Edward and Dorothy Roach. She graduated from Cathedral High School in Rapid City, SD in 1943. She graduated from St. Catherine University in St. Paul, MN, in 1947 with a degree in Nursing. Mary was united in marriage to Paul J. Donohue on Sept. 6, 1948.  in Rapid City, SD. She worked as a nurse at St. John’s Hospital in Rapid city and then at the Brookings Hospital. She was a member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by her children, Stephen, Mark, Susan, Colleen, Sean and Kara; her grandchildren, Ryan, Katherine and Julia and her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Winnie, Maggie and Rory.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul and her two brothers, Edward and Michael.
