Lavon Louise Culhane, age 102, formerly of Elkton, SD, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2024.  
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 12, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Sioux Falls with burial at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Elkton, SD.  Her family will be present to greet friends for visitation on Thursday, Jan. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls, SD.

Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Patrick Culhane III, Yuma, AZ; four daughters, Rebecca Culhane, Ruth Ann (Jim) Prostrollo,  Mary Jo (Patty Brandt) Culhane and Jeannie (Dan) Johnson, all of Sioux Falls, SD; eight grandchildren, Patrick (Jessica) Culhane IV, Mary (Dustin Alder) Culhane, Seamus (Autumn) Culhane, Liam (Amanda) Culhane, Peter (Taylor) Prostrollo, Maggie (fiancé, Jacob Leverich) Johnson, Maria Johnson, and Molly Johnson; 13 great-grandchildren, Patrick V, Grace, Antony, Teal, Rowan, Finn, Skylar, Blake, Charlie, Jack, MacKenzie, Gabriella and Noah; many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Patrick Joseph Culhane II; her parents, Frank and Rebecca Lange; one brother, Louis Lange; and three sisters, Ruth Langner, Faye Long and Phyllis Bauer.
