BROOKINGS — South Dakota State extended its win streak to 17 games on Saturday as the Jackrabbits swept a doubleheader against St. Thomas.

SDSU (30-18, 13-0) won the first game 5-2 and then shut out the Tommies in the second game, winning 8-0. The two teams were supposed to play a third game on Sunday but it was canceled due to rain.

The Jacks will play a three-game series in Omaha next. That will be the final series of the regular season for SDSU and the Jacks can clinch the Summit League regular season title with just one victory over the Mavericks. The two games of the series will be played on Friday and the final game of the series is on Saturday.
