Fuls finishes in eighth at Harrisburg Invitational

HARRISBURG – Delilah Fuls shot an 81 and finished in eighth place as the Brookings Bobcats competed at the Harrisburg Tigers Invitational at the Spring Creek Country Club on Thursday afternoon.

Fuls was one of three Brookings golfers to compete at the event joining Miyah Foerster and Kamryn Streich. Foerster finished tied for 22nd at the meet after a round of 91 while Streich finished 39th after a round of 98.

Mitchell’s Allison Meyerink finished in first place at the tournament after shooting a 76 and winning a playoff with Aberdeen Central’s Kyley Wirebaugh. Watertown’s Gabi Olson and Aberdeen Central’s Olivia Braun finished tied for third place with a score of 77 while Watertown’s Avery Palmquist rounded out the top five with a score of 78.

Watertown finished first and won in a playoff with Aberdeen Central at +44 in the tournament. Mitchell finished in third place at +51 while Yankton (+86) and O’Gorman (+88) rounded out the top five.

After Thursday’s meet, the Bobcats will return home to host their first quadrangular of the year with Brandon Valley, Harrisburg and Yankton at the Edgebrook Golf Course at 1 p.m. on Tuesday.
