Friday, March 1

  • 1:18 a.m. Officers responded to a report of a break in. The investigation is ongoing.
  • 8:45 a.m. An adult reported some parenting concerns to police.
  • 4:06 p.m. Brookings police assisted the South Dakota Highway Patrol and the Moody County Sheriff’s Office with a crash investigation.
  • 7:38 p.m. Brookings police generated a report for theft.
  • 9:55 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic a traffic stop which resulted in a DUI arrest.

Saturday, March 3

  • 1:43 a.m. Brookings police arrested a driver for driving under the influence.
  • 5:26 a.m. Brookings police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for active warrants.
  • 2:54 p.m. Brookings police assisted the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office with a crash.

Sunday, March 3

  • 12:58 a.m. Officers were dispatched to an intoxicated male who was laying on the ground. The male was located and found to be under 21 years old, under the influence of alcohol, and in possession of a fictitious driver’s license. The male was arrested and taken to jail.
  • 2:54 a.m. Brookings police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence and possession of a fictitious driver’s license.
  • 5:38 a.m. Brookings police conducted a traffic stop. The driver was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • 9:55 a.m. Officers responded to a 911 call. A report was filed.
  • 7:54 p.m. Brookings police generated a report for theft.
  • 9:38 p.m. BPD officers made an arrest for DUI.
  • 10:19 p.m. A traffic stop was made for an equipment violation. The male driver was arrested for a FTA Warrant out of Codington County. The driver cited for failure to maintain financial responsibility

  • 5:21 p.m. Brookings Police investigated a vandalism report.

  • 8:46 a.m. Officers took a report of a hit-and-run accident between a vehicle and a mailbox.
  • 9:58 a.m. Officers responded to a report of possession of drug paraphernalia.
  • 2:15 p.m. Officers took a report of potential identity theft.
  • 2:48 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident. A report was generated.
  • 4:09 p.m. Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
  • 5:48 p.m. Officers took a report of vandalism.
  • 5:49 p.m. Officers took a harassment report.
  • 10:27 p.m. Police responded to a local residence and conducted a welfare check on a female occupant.
