BROOKINGS – Plans are underway for the annual Junior-Senior Post Prom Party to be held at midnight Sunday, April 28, in the Brookings High School gym. Decorations will reflect this year’s theme, “Willy Wonka’s World of Imagination.”
The party provides a safe and fun evening with free food, exciting games and prizes for everyone. Tickets are $10 each and will be sold at the high school beginning Tuesday, April 23.
Doors open at midnight, and no one will be admitted after 1 a.m. Students will not be allowed to leave until the party ends at 3 a.m. The emergency phone number to reach students at post prom is 605-651-3597.
Brookings High School parents and the Brookings High School PTA sponsor this event. The post prom committee would like to thank the people who donate toward this great event, which supports the youth of the community. Any business that would like to make a donation may mail a check payable to “BHS Post Prom” to BHS Post Prom, P.O. Box 652, Brookings, S.D. Junior and senior parents are reminded to send in their $20 donation to help defray costs.
If parents would like to volunteer at the event, contact Tammy Dobrenski, 605-651-3597. A post prom sneak preview for the community will be held from 8-9 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
