I read with interest Mr. Burns’ comments on July 20, on our president’s third of July rally at Mt Rushmore.
I did notice that Mr. Burns failed to mention anything patriotic on this most patriotic season of the year.
I also failed to see any mention of our president’s history lesson on why these four presidents have been remembered on our shrine of democracy.
Yes, we live in a divided nation, but it is still one nation under God. Yes, we can do better but we are still a great nation.
God has blessed our land and we need to thank Him for it.
We may not be perfect but more people want to come to America than want to leave.
Maybe that tells us something. It is time for Americans to appreciate our heritage and ask God to help us make it better.
