Warriors roll Bobcats

SIOUX FALLS – Washington pulled away in the second half for a 60-37 defeat of Brookings during nonconference boys’ basketball action Thursday night.

The Bobcats led 14-11 after a quarter; however, the Warriors (6-5) moved ahead 26-22 at halftime and were up 47-31 through three.

Gabe Person dropped in 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting and corralled five rebounds off the bench.

Manny Akot made six of his seven shots for 12 points and Topher Zahn added 10 markers.

Washington shot 47.3 percent (26-of-55) from the floor.

Brookings got 10 points and six boards from Drew Cole.

The Bobcats (2-6) are host to Yankton tonight at 7.
