BROOKINGS — The theft of two, 48-inch vintage Phillips 66 signs from a Brookings residence is being investigated by the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident took place in the 3900 block of Eighth Street South and occurred between Saturday and Tuesday, according to Assistant Sheriff Scott Sebring in a news release on Thursday. He wrote that the signs are each valued at an estimated $2,000 and that power tools were used to remove the fasteners securing the signs to the building.
