BROOKINGS – A Watertown man died Friday night in a motorcycle crash east of Brookings.
The victim has been identified as 52-year-old Gary Goble.
A 2015 Harley Davidson FLTRXS was westbound on U.S. Highway 14, 2 miles east of Brookings at 8:21 p.m. Friday, when the vehicle drifted off the roadway to the right. The vehicle went into the north ditch and went airborne.
Goble, the driver, was thrown from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a helmet.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash.
