BROOKINGS – A company that says it is from Watertown, calling about a sales opportunity for customized Bobcat T-shirts, is not associated with the Brookings School District.
Area residents should beware of the caller, school district officials say.
“This is not an approved or endorsed activity by the Brookings School District,” according to a press release from the district. “Businesses and community members should not participate in this sale or transaction.”
“The Brookings School District has been notified that the caller has been using multiple names. If you receive a call or solicitation, please know this is neither approved nor endorsed by the Brookings School District,” the BSD press release says.
“If you should ever question a fundraiser representing the Brookings School District, you can contact the district office at 696-4700 for verification or clarification.”
