BROOKINGS – Angie Carlson, a behavior tech at Hillcrest Elementary School, has been recognized at the Brookings School District’s Classified Employee of the Year.
Carlson was recognized Wednesday evening, as the Brookings School District and the Brookings Education Association honored district teachers, staff and supporters at their 2018-2019 Teacher and Staff Recognition event at Brookings High School.
In reading from Carlson’s nomination letters, BSD Superintendent Klint Willert noted Carlson was praised for her outstanding positive attitude; the time she takes to invest in, build and maintain positive relationships with staff, students and parents; keeping things fun and not taking everything so seriously; meeting challenges head-on every day; and her dedication to helping students do their very best and “get their day back.”
The recognition ceremony was preceded by a social in the BHS Commons, featuring entertainment from BHS musicians and food from ProStart students and sponsor First Bank & Trust.
