SIOUX FALLS – The South Dakota State women’s and men’s basketball teams swept the Summit League tournament titles for the fourth time on Tuesday, the other occurrences coming in 2012, 2013 and 2016.

The Coyotes swept the Jackrabbits in the regular season, but the Blue and Yellow prevailed in the title game to win their eighth championship in 10 years. Junior Macy Miller, who missed a majority of last year due to an injury, picked up her second Tournament MVP honor and was named to the all-tournament team for a third time. Attendance was listed at 8,704.

South Dakota State beat South Dakota 97-87 in the Summit League Men’s Basketball Championship title game Tuesday night in front of a record 11,114 fans at the PREMIER Center in Sioux Falls. Jackrabbit junior Mike Daum tied a conference record by being named tourney MVP for the third time. SDSU took home the first-place hardware for the third time in a row and the fifth time in seven years overall.
