BROOKINGS – The Brookings Public Library will host a haunted gingerbread house decorating competition at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, in the library’s Cooper Room.

Teams will have 45 minutes to build and decorate their own edible haunted house. Afterward, the librarian judges will decide which creations are the spookiest and winners will receive prizes and bragging rights. Construction materials for the houses, icing and candy decorations will be provided.

This is a family event, so all ages are welcome. Registration is required and space is limited; contact the library now to register your team.
