VOLGA – The 15-time defending State Champions flexed their muscles on Thursday night as the Sioux Valley cheer team dominated in its home competition.
The Cossacks scored a 165 to take home the crown in the Sioux Valley Invite. The first judge gave Sioux Valley a score of 87 and the second gave the Cossacks an 88. The Cossacks had 10 points of deductions.
Deubrook Area came in second place with a score of 128.5 The Dolphins had a zero deductions. Iroquois-Lake Preston finished in third with a score of 124.5 and the Sharks had zero deductions.
Sioux Valley and Deubrook will all be competing in the Roosevelt Invite on Oct. 1 at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls. The competition is set to start at 11 a.m.
