SIOUX FALLS – South Dakota State’s Spencer Fritze was named Summit League Diver of the Week by the league on Tuesday.
Fritze opened his sophomore diving campaign with a win in the 1-meter competition in the season-opening diving dual at St. Cloud State (287.90) and placed second in the 3-meter board with a score of 248.55.
This is the first career diver of the week honor for the Park Rapids, Minnesota, native.
The South Dakota State men’s swimming and diving team fell to St. Cloud State 128.5-78.5 in its season opener.
They will participate in the USD quad duals Jan. 28 in Vermillion before taking on South Dakota straight up Jan. 28.
