BROOKINGS – Rachael Selberg will hold her Bachelor of Fine Arts thesis exhibition at South Dakota State University’s Ritz Gallery Oct. 18-29. Admission is free.
Selberg’s exhibit, titled “Working Through It” will include ceramic jars and lids.
“I enjoy working in ceramics because clay has limitations that guide the designs of my sculptures. There is a point where clay cannot be extended or pulled anymore or it will collapse, therefore, I play along its edge of collapsing.”
A senior majoring in the art education, she is the daughter of Jolene and Marshall Selberg of Sioux Falls. She is a 2017 graduate of Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School.
The public exhibition will be on display in The Ritz Gallery of Grove Hall, located south of the University Student Union between the Mathews and Brown residence halls. The Ritz Gallery hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is closed weekends and holidays. Parking is available in the University Student Union lot.
