SDSU tied for 14th at Las Vegas Showdown

BOULDER CREEK, Nev. – The South Dakota State women’s golf team is tied for 14th at 595 (295-300) after two rounds of the Las Vegas Collegiate Showdown at the 6,373-yard, par-72 Boulder Creek Golf Club.

Host UNLV leads the 16-team field at 21-under-par 555 (277-278). San Jose State is second at 14-under 562 (278-284) and Mizzou is third at 13-under 563 (275-288).

The Rebels’ Elizabeth Price sits atop the 96-player field with a 36-hole score of 11-under 133 (67-66). The Tigers’ Emma Allen (65-70) and New Mexico’s Ingrid Gutierrez (66-69) are tied for second at 135.

The Jackrabbits’ Cassidy Laidlaw (72-75—147) is tied for 39th, Teresa Toscano (71-77—148) is tied for 47th, Sydney Bormann (76-73—149) is tied for 51st, Natcha Srimaneerungroj (76-75—151) is tied for 69th and Brooke Piearson (76-80—156) is tied for 89th.

The tourney, which began Sunday, concludes today.
