The South Dakota State men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams will combine to host five events during the upcoming 2022-23 season.
The Jackrabbit women will kick off a busy first two months by hosting Nebraska in dual action Oct. 7 at the Marshall Center Pool. The first home action for the SDSU men’s squad is slated for the following weekend, Oct. 15, versus Iowa Central, while the women’s team will also take on Northern State in a triangular competition.
SDSU will welcome Summit League foe Omaha for a combined men’s and women’s dual on Nov. 11 to close out the calendar year. Upon returning from semester break in January, both Jackrabbit squads will host St. Cloud State (Jan. 14) and South Dakota (Jan. 21) on back-to-back Saturdays.
With women’s competitions slated for seven consecutive weeks to start the season, SDSU is slated to travel to duals at Augustana (Oct. 14) and Iowa State (Oct. 22) before an Oct. 28 triangular in the Twin Cities with Summit League member St. Thomas and host Minnesota. The Jackrabbit men also will compete against Augustana and in the Minnesota Triangular.
The November slate will include two trips to Sioux Falls and the Midco Aquatic Center for both squads to compete in multi-day meets at the USD Quad Dual (Nov. 4-5) and Augustana Invitational (Nov. 17-19). The final competition of the regular season also is set for Sioux Falls with the USD Last Chance meet Feb. 3-4.
Minneapolis will be the site of the Summit League Swimming and Diving Championships for the first time. The four-day meet will be contested Feb. 22-25 at the Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center at the University of Minnesota.
