ST. GEORGE, Utah – South Dakota State’s Sydney Bormann recorded her second top-five finish of the season and the Jackrabbit women’s golf team finished third Friday at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational.
The Jacks shot a two-round 600 (304-296) on the par-72, 5,914-yard Sunbrook Golf Course.
California Baptist won the 14-team event with a 589.
North Dakota State’s Taylor McCorkle was medalist, shooting a 141 (76-65).
Bormann, who finished second at the UNO Invitational Sept. 1, placed third with a 145 (73-72).
Teresa Toscano jumped from 32nd to tie for 10th with a 148 (78-70).
Mia Seeman finished 12th (76-73=149), Cassidy Laidlaw tied for 41st (77-82=159) and Lani Potter tied for 71st (84-81=165).
Playing as an individual, Sydney Wirebaugh placed 81st (84-91=175).
