BROOKINGS – Scott Holm successfully defended his City Golf Tournament title, closing with a 3-under-par 69 Sunday at Brookings County Club for a 1-under 141 total and a nine-shot victory.
He opened with a 2-over 72 on Saturday at Edgebrook.
Tim Schaefer rallied to take second with a 150 total. He carded a 78 at Edgebrook and a 72 at BCC.
Jake Steen, the 2015 winner, shot 70 Saturday to take the early lead. He closed with an 81 and tied for third with Derek Burshiem (73-78) and Tyler VanHecke (75-76) at 151.
Matt Krogman (77-76) and Cory Lunn (73-80) tied for sixth with 153 totals. Brian Berkenhoff was eighth at 154 (77-77) and Hak Steen took ninth with a 157 (82-75) total.
Kayde Bartels (82-75) and Jared Baszler (78-79) tied for 10th at 157.
Flight winners were: First – Jack Ingemansen (71-81—152); Second – Gordy Jones Jr. (79-81—160); Third – Mike Holen (81-84—165).
